IQRF Alliance and tcp cloud showed to the world the IoT in practice

Published
28 APRIL 2016

More than 7500 developers from around the world applauded Jakub Pavlík from tcp cloud after his presentation about IoT solution of collecting sensoric data at OpenStack Summit in Austin, USA. tcp cloud with other members of the IQRF Alliance created sensoric network of 20 CO2 sensors within only three weeks. Those sensors were installed around the whole Austin Convention Center with an area of 80 000 square meters. Data were collected through the wireless IQRF mesh network to Raspberry Pi and then sent to servers in the Czech Republic using Docker, OpenStack or OpenContrail technologies.

Data were not only visualised but also provided to other developers for further processing. "It was a great example of IQRF flexibility, when we have created complete IoT project from a sensor to a final data visualisation in a very short period of time," adds Simon Chudoba, CEO of the IQRF Alliance, who accompanied tcp cloud team to OpenStack Summit.

Wireless sensoric network was completely created by Czech companies associated in the IQRF Alliance – tcp cloud, MICRORISC and Protronix. OpenStack Summit is held twice a year by OpenStack Foundation. Leading Cloud architects and engineers from around the world meet at OpenStack Summit to share their knowledge and experience. It is the largest IT event of the year. Leading IT companies such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, AT&T, Huawei or Yahoo belong to this community.
