No. You can purchase IQRF Development Sets, IQRF Transceivers and/or interoperable devices at the www.iqrf.shop, evaluate the platform and make your decision if IQRF is good for you or not without being a member.
I want to develop and sell a product that won’t be interoperable with IQRF Ecosystem. Do I have to become a member?
No. You can develop and sell your product based on IQRF without being an Alliance member.
Can I attend events organized by IQRF Alliance such as IQRF Summit without being a member?
Yes. We have very open approach and most of our members participated at an Alliance event before they joined the Alliance. Visiting the IQRF Summit is the best way how to evaluate if membership in the Alliance makes sense to you.
Why should I join the IQRF Alliance?
Because it helps you to save your development costs and brings you new opportunities. You will become a part of the community, make your product part of the IQRF Ecosystem, promote your products through Alliance channels.
Why should I certify my products on IQRF Interoperability?
Customers will be sure your products are interoperable with the IQRF Ecosystem and your product will be listed in the IQRF Alliance Repository so it will be easy for anyone to deploy it.
What kind of products should be certified? How much time does the certification take and how much does it cost?
You should certify your End devices that use standardize peripherals according to the IQRF Interoperability Standard. The process usually takes few weeks and cost according to the type of your membership.
We have a product/service which is related to IQRF Ecosystem (cloud, SW, mobile app., service) but it is not a product to be certified on IQRF Interoperability. Should we join the Alliance?
Yes. IoT Ecosystem is much wider than a group of interoperable end devices. So, even though your product or service can’t be certified, it will be promoted on IQRF Marketplace, www.iqrf.shop or Github.
How can I use the “budget on specified Alliance marketing and PR activities”?
Alliance provides a list of events and PR activities where you can use your budget instead of standard payment. For example as a contributor member you can get 2.000 EUR discount on being a platinum partner on the IQRF Summit.
