Future of IoT was discussed during the Wireless Congress 2019
24 October 2019
Wireless Congress 2019 was focused primarily on cellular Internet of Things (cIoT) and Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN). The main theme of the event was the rising of 5G networks, which promises to offer alternatives to existing industrial wireless technologies.
Innovations in the field of eMMB, mMTC, URLLC, resilient networks, information-centric networking, next-gen LPWAN, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in communication networks and the application of advanced wireless systems in the industry were also discussed.
Many world leading manufacturers, developers and system integrators in the field of IoT strive to establish clear rules for the IoT standard based on 5G communication technology. Gradually, a community of companies is being formed that would like to build the foundations of the standard.
Experts agree that the IoT standard, which would be valid worldwide, is still a long way to go, but if the big players in the market take action, nothing is impossible. The IQRF Alliance will continue to push for the IQRF wireless technology for the Internet of Things and follow the latest market trends.
