New IQRF OS v4.04 brings huge news!

26 October 2020

IQRF IDE 4.59 was released. It supports IQRF OS 4.04D and DPA 4.15 which brings new possibilities. In DPA 4.15, there are new features for working with local FRC and offline FRC (beaming).

Local FRC is an FRC asynchronously launched from a Node to control other Nodes in direct range. Quickly, without lengthy propagation of the packet through the entire network. Thus, e.g., controllers (pushbuttons, switches, motion sensors, ...) can control and monitor actuators (lights, blinds, ...) with no significant delay.

New way to collect data

Offline FRC called beaming is used for efficient data collection from battery-operated sensors. Sensors send (beam) regularly their values and they are stored at aggregating repeaters. FRC initiated from a coordinator is used to collect all data stored at repeaters.
