IQRF Workshop at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology

21 April 2026

A professional lecture focused on wireless technologies in IoT took place at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, specifically at the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems.

On April 17, 2026, a professional lecture focused on wireless technologies in IoT took place at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, specifically at the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems.

The session offered students a valuable opportunity to go beyond theory and gain practical insight into how modern wireless systems operate in real-world environments.

Practical insight from industry

The lecture was delivered by Sebastian Hopp, who stepped into the role of an industry lecturer. His presentation focused on:

  • principles of wireless mesh networks
  • energy efficiency and long-term device operation
  • real deployment scenarios across industry, smart buildings, and infrastructure

The content emphasized practical experience and real-world implementations rather than purely theoretical concepts.

Strong student engagement

The lecture received very positive feedback. Students actively participated, asked technically focused questions, and explored the topics in greater depth.

Key highlights included:

  • strong technical curiosity
  • active interaction during and after the session
  • highly positive feedback on the practical focus of the lecture

Bridging academia and industry

Lectures like this highlight the importance of connecting academic education with real technological practice. They provide students with:

  • insight into current industry challenges
  • exposure to real IoT use cases
  • direct interaction with experienced professionals

At the same time, they allow companies to share their expertise and engage with the next generation of engineers.

The IQRF lecture in Wrocław 2026 clearly demonstrated that real innovation emerges where knowledge meets practical experience.
